Simon English (Clerk)
Simon joined Octagon Legal in May 2016 following the best part of 20 years employment in two leading law firms in Norfolk and Suffolk specialising in Criminal Law.
The switch to the role of a barristers clerk is the fulfilment of a long held ambition for Simon who has always held close links to Octagon Chambers and many local law firms.
While having a wealth of experience that he brings to the criminal practice within Chambers, Simon also deals with family and civil work.
In his personal life, Simon is a keen runner and regularly takes part in Marathons both in the UK and abroad.
Gemma Mulloy (Clerk)
Gemma joined Octagon Legal at the beginning of February 2015 following nearly 16yrs service at East Anglian Chambers.
She clerks the family team, managing their diaries, agreeing fees and regularly liaising with solicitors, court staff and other sets of chambers.
Away from work, Gemma’s time is occupied by a variety of pets, riding her motorbike and spending time with family.
Robert Gibson (Senior Clerk)
Robert joined Octagon Legal in March 2011, after 11 years in the Court Service, where he had a variety of roles including listing and management. His local contacts are often invaluable in assisting the smooth running of cases in the Court System.
Robert was appointed as Senior Clerk in Chambers in October 2014 and oversees the Clerking in Chambers. Robert leads the clerking team and deals with the overall management of the diaries, arranging private fees, listing, billing, practice development and direct access.
Robert is dedicated to excellent customer care and strives to provide an honest working relationship with clients, whether they be Solicitors, Businesses or the general public.
Outside Chambers Robert enjoys spending time with his family.
